What we collect

Account: name, email, password (stored only as a one-way hash), age, gender and who you want to meet.

Profile: photos, bio, interests, occupation, religion (optional), relationship goals and an optional voice intro.

Location: your city and, if you allow it, approximate coordinates to show how far away people are. You can type your city instead.

Activity: matches, messages, sparks and game answers, date plans, room activity, reports and blocks.

Verification selfie: only if you choose to verify. Device data: sign-in tokens, push-notification subscription (if you turn notifications on) and basic logs for security.

How we use it

To run the service: show you relevant profiles, deliver matches and messages, keep the platform safe, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms, send account emails (confirm your email, reset your password) and, only if you opt in, push notifications.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not show advertising based on your messages.

Sensitive information

Your relationship goals, orientation preferences and religion can be sensitive. We use them only to run matching and display them to other members as you choose. Casual goals are visible only to members who also chose a casual goal. Religion and occupation are optional.

Verification selfies

A live selfie is compared with your profile photos by our team (and, if switched on, by an automated face-comparison service, which receives the selfie and your main photo only for that comparison). The selfie is permanently deleted as soon as it is approved or rejected. We keep only the result.

Who can see what

Other members see your profile (photos, name, age, city or distance, bio, goals, voice intro, verified badge). Your messages are visible only to the person you are talking to. Group-room messages are visible to the people in that room. Relationship-mode memories are visible only to you and your partner. Your email, exact coordinates and password are never shown to other members.

Service providers

We use hosting, email delivery and (if enabled) push-notification services from your browser vendor and an optional face-comparison provider. They process data only to provide those services.

Cookies and sign-in

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. If you do not log out, you stay signed in on that device for up to about 400 days and the period renews each time you use Rawmistry. Logging out or deleting your account removes the sign-in token.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your profile, photos, voice intro, matches and messages. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule. Limited records may be kept where the law requires, or to prevent banned users from returning.

Your rights (Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023)

You can access, correct and delete your data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Most of this is available in Profile. For anything else, email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Security and children

We protect data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, private storage for sensitive files and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. Rawmistry is for adults only. If you believe a minor is using it, tell us and we will remove the account.

Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change and tell you about important changes.
